USB output

Send your sound where you want it.

Choose a stereo pair or a single mono output on a compatible USB audio interface or processor.

  • Select from the output ports and channels Android makes available to the app.
  • Your choice is remembered for the same device and audio profile. A different device prompts you to choose again.
  • Choose “Don’t show again” to skip the startup prompt. USB output stays available in Settings.
  • Stop audio before changing the route. Some processors also need their USB return routing set on the device.

Does it work on iPhone or iPad?

NAM A2 Recorder is available for Android. There is no iOS version.

Is it already on Google Play?

Yes. NAM A2 Recorder is available on Google Play now.

Do I need a USB audio interface?

Yes. Connect a compatible USB audio interface with an instrument input. Available output choices depend on the channels Android exposes; a processor’s physical Main, Headphone or Reamp routing may need to be configured on that device.

How low is the latency?

The audio engine is designed for responsive, low-latency playing through USB. Ultra, Low and Stable let you balance a smaller app buffer with more processing headroom. The displayed output-buffer time is only part of the complete instrument-to-headphone path; actual round-trip latency varies with your setup.

Does Auto Level change my volume while I play?

No. It calculates a fixed level match when a NAM model loads, reducing differences between quiet and loud models without continuously riding your playing volume. You can switch it off in Settings; output protection remains active.

Where are recordings stored?

The app is designed around local files selected or created on the Android device.
